Education projects:  


Providing education is one of the government's most important tasks, and research is needed to guide public policy in order to improve the quality, efficiency and fairness of the education system.
 


Sub-projects:

1) Economics Training in Bolivia and Chile

Purpose:   The project aims at identifying common patterns and differences in economics training in Bolivia and Chile, and examining to what extent different cultural, social and economic realities might explain them.

Project leader: Carlos Gustavo Machicado.

Other participants: Lourdes Espinoza, Katia Makhlouf.

Financing/collaboration: Inter-American Development Bank.

Output: 

2) Managing Decentralized Education

Purpose:   The purpose of the project is to give guidelines to the further decentralization of education in Bolivia.

Project leader: Osvaldo Nina

Other participants:

Financing/collaboration: The Fiscal Analysis Network (RAF) of the Bolivian Ministry of Finance; the Ministry of Education.

Output:
