Lykke E. Andersen holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Aarhus, Denmark. She has conducted research on environment and development in Latin America for more than 25 years as Executive Director of INESAD, Scientific Manager at Conservation International Bolivia, Chief Economist at the Bolivian Catholic University and as a consultant for the World Bank, Inter-American Development Bank, the Andean Development Bank, United Nations and various other development institutions. She is currently serving as Executive Director of the Sustainable Development Solutions Network in Bolivia. She is a prolific writer with more than 300 publications, including a dozen books and more than 20 papers in peer-reviewed journals. According to RePEc, she is ranked among the top 5% of female economists in the World.

Carlos has a Doctorate in Economics from the University of Chile (Latin American Doctoral Degree), Masters in Economics from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and a degree in Economics from the Bolivian Catholic University. In the professional field, he worked as a macro-sector analyst for the Unit of Economic Policy Analysis (UDAPE). His areas of interest are Macroeconomics, Economic Growth, Productivity, General Equilibrium Models and Economic Policy.

For more than 10 years he did research in development as Director of the Institute of Socio-Economic Research of the Bolivian Catholic University of La Paz (UCB), as Director of the Integral Group and as a consultant for the World Bank, the Inter-American Development Bank, the Andean Development Corporation and several other national and international development institutions.

He has also been Director of the Central Bank of Bolivia and Director of Multiannual Strategic Planning in the Ministry of Planning.

He is a specialist in Social Policies with 20 years of experience in the design, implementation and evaluation of government and private sector programs and projects. He was a Researcher at the Applied Economics Research Institute (IPEA), Brazil; and the Institute for Labor and Society Studies (IETS), Brazil. He is co-founder of the AFortiori Institute, Brazil and currently is a Senior Researcher at the Institute for Advanced Development Studies (INESAD), Bolivia.

Throughout his career, he has provided consulting and technical advisory services to the Brazilian central government and subnational governments, as well as to international organizations.
