The Executive Committee of the Latin American and Caribbean Economic Association (LACEA)<\/a> announced that Fundaci\u00f3n INESAD will organize, jointly with the Bolivian Economists Society (SEBOL)<\/a> and the Private University of Santa Cruz de la Sierra (UPSA)<\/a> the LACEA Twentieth Annual Meeting. This important event will be held in the City of Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia, in the second half of 2015.<\/p>\n

The nineteenth version<\/a> of this event was held in the city of S\u00e3o Paulo (Brazil) in November 2014. The event was attended by 10 economics keynote speakers renowned worldwide. In addition, there were 42 invited sessions and 125 research papers contributed sessions.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0Latin American\u00a0and\u00a0Caribbean Economic Association or Asociaci\u00f3n de Econom\u00eda de Am\u00e9rica Latina y el Caribe (LACEA) is an international association of economists with common research interests in Latin America. It was formed in 1992 to facilitate the exchange of ideas among economists and policymakers. LACEA is generously supported by grants from the\u00a0Global Development Network<\/a>\u00a0and the World Bank’s Development Grant Facility<\/a>. In addition, the annual meetings are supported by grants from The World Bank, The Inter-American Development Bank, The Development Bank of Latin America (CAF) and other organizations that can vary depending on the country and organizers of the Annual Meeting. Fundaci\u00f3n INESAD is a private, non-partisan and non-profit Think Tank, based in the city of La Paz, which seeks to generate, disseminate and transfer oriented knowledge to overcome critical obstacles to sustainable socioeconomic development, seeking to influence public policies.
