Carnaval at INESAD, 2013Carnaval month at INESAD started with Dia de Compadres (31 January 2013). Thankful for the great Women's Day organized by the guys at INESAD last year, the girls decided they had to do something special for the guys, so they organized a surprise party with teambuilding games and more. The first game was a communications game where one part was blind-folded and the other had to lead the pair through a set of obstacles and challenges.

The second challenge was to build a representation of INESAD from a random collection of materials.
One group had a very clear image of INESAD right from the beginning. May have to do with the fact that their office is full of different variations of Rodin's statue "The Thinker."
The other team is still wishing for INESAD to get their own property one day.

Carnaval always makes for colorful photos. There will surely be more next week.
Carnaval continued with Dia de Comadres one week later. It was a rather "vegetarian" event, as Osvaldo expressed it, because we all had so much work and meetings to attend.
In addition, Challa Friday was coming up next day. We had to improvise when a heavy rainshower completely flattened our rented tent, but the banner from our last symposium worked very well.
In INESAD we follow all challa regulations to the letter, including llama foster offerings. So far it has worked pretty spectacularly, so nobody dares question these traditions.

This year we were joined by the team from Universidad de la Cordillera, one of our main work partners this year. So we prepared food for about 50 people.
