Beatriz Muriel was accepted as Fellow of the Bolivian Academy of Economic Sciences on the 3rd of April 2013 after presenting her thesis of incorporation titled “An Analysis of Firm Characteristics as Earnings Determinants: The Urban Bolivia Case.”

She is the second woman to be accepted into the Academy during the last 40 years, and it is worth noting that both of the female fellows are from INESAD – the most gender-equilibrated economic research institution in Bolivia.
