Book launch and 10 year anniversary cocktail party, December 2016

To celebrate INESAD’s 10 year anniversary, we held a cocktail party at Circulo de la Unión on the 1st of December, and presented our new book “El ABC del desarrollo en Bolivia” to the public. The book is a huge collaborative effort involving more than 30 authors and 20 fotographers. Here are most of the authors together on the stage:

Ximena Coronado, the President of the Board of Directors of Fundación INESAD, opened the event with a beautiful and heartfelt speech about INESAD.

Boris and Lykke guided the audience through the 30 chapters of the book with a dynamic presentation that also showcased the 30 photos that won the photo competition which INESAD had organized in order to illustrate the many dimensions of development.

The book, printed and bound by Weinberg, is of excellent quality, designed to be used repeatedly as a reference on every topic relevant for Bolivia’s development.

It was a big challenge to coordinate the work of so many people and finish a 300+ page book in less than a year, but in the end, everybody was very pleased with the result.

Happy authors: Gabriela, Johnny, Mario, José, Osvaldo and Anna Sophia.

The production of the book, as well as its promotion at various events around the country, was financed by a generous grant from the Royal Danish Embassy in Bolivia.

The Danish Embassy also sponsors our beloved Ambassador Internship Program, which provides a steady stream of delightful, young, brilliant, hardworking students, without whom INESAD would not be nearly as productive or nearly as great a place to work.

Four of INESAD's Ambassador Interns: Gabriel from Mexico, Gustavo from USA, Marta from Poland, and Justus from Germany.

We sincerely hope to find a new sponsor for this popular program, now that the Danish Embassy is closing down and finishing their support to Bolivia.
