NDVI

Description of the NDVI Tool (NORMALIZED DIFFERENCE VEGETATION INDEX)

The NDVI tool is designed for crop monitoring by generating Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) time series. To assess crop health, identify vegetation cover and perform phenological analysis.

Objectives of the Tool

Support agricultural monitoring through satellite data, facilitating the tracking of crop health and evolution.

  • Provide detailed information on NDVI behavior in different stations and geographic areas, allowing the comparison of maximum, minimum and average values.
  • Visualize crop phenology, showing NDVI variation according to phenological group, management and selected area.
  • Provide a comparative analysis of vegetation indices, including other indicators such as Enhanced Vegetation Index (EVI), Leaf Area Index (LAI) and Soil Adjusted Vegetation Index (SAVI).
  • Facilitate agricultural decision making, helping producers and technicians to plan management strategies based on reliable satellite information.
