Description of the SIM PACHAMAMA
SimPachamama is an Agent Based simulation tool, which mimics the behavior of a small community located at the agricultural frontier. The user takes on the role of the mayor of the community, and the objective is to implement policies so as to improve human well-being as much as possible without destroying the environment.
The tool is intended to be used in training and consultation workshops about policies to reduce deforestation. The tool is available in both Spanish and English versions.
Objective of the tool
The objective of the project is to support the participatory development of fair and effective mechanisms for reducing deforestation and rural poverty, especially in Bolivia.
