Sergio Mansilla

Junior Researcher at INESAD. He holds a degree in Economics from the Universidad Católica Boliviana (UCB) “San Pablo” in Bolivia. He complemented his academic training with several courses, including the Course of Excellence in Economics organized by the University of Chile, the Universidad Católica Boliviana “San Pablo” and the Universidad Privada Boliviana; a Diploma in Quantitative Methods for Economic Analysis organized by the Universidad Privada Boliviana; and several courses in the use of computer packages (LaTeX and STATA), behavioral economics and writing of scientific articles. He was president of the Student Scientific Society of Economics (SCEE) of UCB in 2018 and vice president in 2017 and 2019. He won second place in the Undergraduate Thesis Category at the Thirteenth Meeting of Bolivian Economists organized by the Central Bank of Bolivia. He was a teaching assistant in General Economics, Microeconomics and Macroeconomics at UCB; he was awarded the scholarship-agreement of the Instituto de Investigaciones Socio-Económicas in conjunction with the Hanns Seidel Foundation and research assistant at the Instituto de Investigaciones Socio-Económicas in 2019, institution in which he is currently affiliated as a Junior Researcher. He has publications on poverty, macroeconomics, migration, education and health.
